When is a good time to begin studying for the ACT or the SAT?

A suggestion for individuals preparing to enroll in college and the ACT or SAT tests are needed to complete your enrollment package, consider studying for the test 4-5 months before taking the test. If you are a high school student consider taking the ACT and PSAT before your senior year.

For returning students taking the SAT and ACT I recommend studying for this test at least 5-6 months before taking it.

Should I take a practice version of the ACT or SAT?

Yes. Taking the practice versions of these tests will expose you to the layout of the tests so that you will be familiar with what is going on. With practice tests you can take them frequently especially if you are studying on your own or within a group setting.

Where can I find study materials and information regarding the SAT and the ACT?

Study materials can be found at a local bookstore, as well as online. Typing a basic search in a search engine "SAT Test Prep, ACT Test Prep" will yield results for you to start.
