You've Graduated! So What's Next?

Congrats to all Graduates! Your academic journey has been a long one and now it's time to think about what's next!

For high school graduates it's good to know that you've endured 4 years of the same routine and you came out on top!! You are probably prayerfully considering your next steps which is college or a career. I encourage you today to seek a college education, invest in yourself and you will see some of the many doors and opportunities that will be available for you that your family and you will benefit from.

For the undergrad graduates (Associate & Baccalaureate Degrees) it's a blessing to finish right? The undergrad years are some of the most challenging years in one's higher education journey. The shifts in schedules as well as the shift your family and loved ones had to adjust to in order for you to effectively complete your studies was probably uncomfortable, but you did it and To God Be the Glory!!

For the graduate school graduates (Masters, Doctoral & Professional Candidates) you triumphed! I know there were many people (including friends & family members) who were hoping that you failed so they could have something to laugh at or relentlessly mock you. Then there were family members and loved ones who genuinely cared about your overall success and encouraged, supported, pushed, prayed and motivated you during the entire journey. God allowed you to experience many changes as you realized this is nothing like an undergrad degree! But even in the midst of your social circles getting smaller, employees distracting you, a boss's jealousy in addition to the family sacrifices you experienced GOD CAME THROUGH & YOU MADE IT! Now your sphere of influence has widened and you are able contribute to the kingdom of God and society with your gifts. Praise God that you achieved his plan for your life.

Now what are you going to do with the gift God has blessed you with? Your achievements are a gift! Don't see a high school diploma or degree as something just for you but this achievement is impacting so many people if you utilize the gift the way God intended.

As you pray and ask God for direction on your next steps whether it is pursuing another degree, volunteering, entrepreneurship or working for a someone. Be sure to keep God first and do everything with excellence!

Congrats to the Graduates!

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

James 1:7

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

Giving you something to think about,

Dr. Bryant
